We’re overjoyed to announce Echo Lake’s debut album - Wild Peace - will be released through No Pain In Pop (Europe) and the seminal Slumberland label (North America) on June 25th/26th.
Marrying Thom Hill’s huge, dense production with countless interweaving layers of Linda Jarvis’ emotive and cavernous voice the album seems to float like the densest of mirages, yet maintains a strict and majestic indie-rock classicism. It’s a uniquely direct and committed take on the melodic side of psychedelia’s pop frontier; the sound of a band flying close to the sun with just their debut album.
Album centrepiece ‘Even The Blind’ is available for stream and free download below.
PATTEN - RADIO 1 SESSION

Two new post-GLAQJO XAACSSO tracks from patten - ever in ellipses - taken from his BBC Radio 1 session with Huw Stephens. Listen from 1:18hrs onwards here.
Echo Lake - Peaking Lights remix

With a debut album very nearly finished and primed for a summer release, Echo Lake have released a remix of Peaking Lights’ ‘Marshmellow Yellow’ from last year’s 936.
PATTEN - EDITS

After the acclaim of his 2011 debut album - GLAQJO XAACSSO - we’re very excited to say patten will play his first audiovisual show on Thursday 19th January at CAMP Basement in Old St, London (Facebook event/£5 advance tickets). The album is now available on CD for the first time and limited UK indie shop and NPIP webstore orders will receive EDITS, a full length work “extending, shifting and re-imagining elements from the album” in the London producer’s idiosyncratic style. Tracks ‘V’ and ‘IX’ are available below:
The Proper Ornaments - Who Thought
Centered around the close partnership of frontmen Max Clapps and James Hoare, The Proper Ornaments make a thrillingly taut and melodic pop indebted both to the sun balm’d West Coast (the Byrds, Brian Wilson) and the driving, terse rhythms of the British Invasion & C86 (the Beatles, Postcard Records). Their debut EP is out on 12” vinyl and DL through No Pain In Pop next week and is available to order here.
